Our WMS Center of Expertise is proud to introduce LISA WMS Version 26.1, a release that brings meaningful advances in shipping automation, inventory visibility, and operational efficiency. From built-in carrier integration for UPS and FedEx to a new consolidated replenishment list, this update is designed to help your warehouse team work faster, more accurately, and with greater control. Read on to discover how these new features and improvements can directly benefit your operations.
Built-in Carrier Integration with UPS and FedEx
LISA WMS now includes direct carrier integration for UPS and FedEx, designed specifically to support domestic standard parcel shipping in Canada and the United States. This major enhancement eliminates the need for external, third-party shipping solutions by bringing carrier connectivity directly into the outbound shipping workflow. Warehouse operators can now generate carrier labels straight from the outbound shipping module, with LISA WMS automatically fetching real-time rates, generating labels, and capturing tracking numbers and freight charges to send back to the ERP system.
Benefits of Carrier Integration
- Streamlined Shipping Workflow: Eliminates the need to switch between LISA WMS and external shipping software, saving time and reducing errors.
- Cost Optimization with Rate Shopping: Automatically compares shipping rates across various UPS and FedEx services to select the most cost-effective option for each shipment.
- Flexible Billing Options: Supports third-party billing, allowing you to bill shipping charges directly to a customer’s carrier account or a third party.
- Improved Traceability: Automatically captures tracking numbers and freight charges, ensuring accurate data flows back to your ERP system instantly.
Enhanced Visibility with the New Replenishment List
A new Replenishment List page has been introduced in LISA Web under the Inventory menu. This page provides a clear, consolidated view of replenishment needs across the entire warehouse. It helps warehouse managers ensure that active picking locations are consistently stocked, preventing delays during order fulfillment.
Benefits of the Replenishment List
- Proactive Inventory Management: Identify and address low stock in active picking locations before it impacts order fulfillment.
- Consolidated View: See all replenishment needs across the warehouse in a single, easy-to-read list.
- Reduced Fulfillment Delays: Ensure pickers always have the inventory they need, minimizing wait times and improving overall efficiency.
- Better Resource Allocation: Plan and execute replenishment tasks more effectively based on real-time data.
Additional Improvements in LISA WMS 26.1
- Added Phone and Contact Name fields to the warehouse configuration pages.
- Box Types can now be mapped directly to Carrier Package Codes for more accurate shipping estimates.
- Added support for configuring the Measurement System (Imperial or Metric) to better align with carrier integration requirements.
- The Carriers menu in Master Data has been renamed Shipping Methods to better reflect its purpose alongside the new Carrier Integration features.
